Arsenal vs Tottenham Best Ever Goals
In the latest chapter of the North London derby we see two in form sides contending to keep their league form flying high. Arsenal come in, in second only on goal differential, while Spurs are undefeated in the league for 10 on the trot. Ahead of this important Premier League clash we’ll take a look back at a few of the best between these two bitter rivals.
Number 5. I like this one because of the player who scored it and what the match meant at the time as well as the skill. My man, Tomas Rosicky, the little maestro, has always had a bit of a knack for scoring against the scum. But this one was a thing of beauty.
Only a couple of minutes into the match and he lets loose an absolute rocket to eventually give Arsenal the win and what would be an important 3 points.
Number 4. I’m torn including this goal, but in the end it is just too good to slip by. The scorer, Emmanuel Adebayor will always have a circle in the 7th level of Gooner hell, but c’mon this one was incredible.
Number 3. Our third goal will always have a warm place in my heart regardless of the
skunk
player who scored it. In one of the most hotly contested races for 4th place in memory against our most bitter rival it was the goal that equalized and turned around the match and the season. Oh ya, great bit of skill as well.
Number 2. To this day this is one of my favorite goals of anyone in an Arsenal shirt (sadly once again regardless of who’s wearing it). The absolute grit, energy, and gumption shown by Fabregas here is astonishing. He takes the ball straight from the kick off to double Arsenal’s lead right before half. Spuds didn’t even know hat hit’em.
Number 1. Here we have maybe my favorite goal of all time if that is indeed possible. Thierry Henry showcases why he is an absolute legend and one of the greatest players to ever play the game. He looks pretty good in bronze too. All hail the king.
