5 Things To Expect From Jack Wilshere’s Arsenal Return

Jack Wilshere is expected to give Arsenal fans everywhere a Christmas present upon his return on Boxing Day. The young midfielder has been out all year due to another leg injury that resulted in an operation to insert a metal plate in the injured limb. The injury was a hairline fracture that was reportedly from a training accident, but no one is to blame for it.

This was supposed to be a big year for Jack Wilshere. He finished last season with a flourish. He notched a sublime goal against West Brom and followed that up with two goals for England in internationals. The rambunctious Englishman was looking stronger than ever and there was no alteration to his game. He was still the tenacious little guy we had always loved to watch.
Going into this year, he was supposed to be healthy. Arsene Wenger said that all Wilshere needs is one to two years of health. That is it. The talent is already there. The want and desire is already there. All he needs is for his body to cooperate.
But it’s always easier said than done. Jack Wilshere was supposed to be the future of English and Arsenal football. He was pegged for greatness at a young age. While frustrations have always emerged, it has never been related to his actual play. Jack Wilshere plays fearlessly, which adds to his injury risk, and he has a fantastic left foot. Plus, he plays midfield, a role that desperately needs reinforcements at Arsenal.
