As mentioned in the previous slide, each time Jack Wilshere comes back from injury, he looks better and better. The way he closed out last season was sublime. He looked to be fulfilling the mass of expectations that were heaped on him. He was supposed to take over a crucial role for Arsenal and never let it go.

But he got hurt.
When Jack Wilshere returns again and inevitably looks phenomenal again, those expectations are going to reignite. There comes a point where injuries reach a tipping point and no expectations come anymore. I don’t think Wilshere is there yet. Especially not when people out there like Xavi are stoking the flames, calling Jack Wilshere one of the world’s best players.
There are going to be just as many expectations on young Jack Wilshere on this return. You can bet on it. On the bright side, he has the ability to fulfill those expectations. On the dark side, his body may not allow him to. Only time will tell.
