1. He Is Legend

This point goes hand in hand with the last one, but the major thing here is what exactly Lionel Messi is. He is a living legend. He has done things that will be remembered forever in the annals of football. Guys like that don’t just jump ship on a team that they have spent their life with.

Barcelona and Lionel Messi are synonymous. Maybe at the end of his career he plays a year or two in the MLS, but to go to another team now would put a blip, or a hiccup, in his legendary career.

Especially for the reported cause. Tax fraud? A legend does not flee from tax authorities, leaving behind the team that built themselves around him, in order to play in another country. That is not legendary.

Lionel Messi is legendary and his reputation will not have blemishes like this on it.

As wonderful as Lionel Messi would look in an Arsenal kit, it is not to be. The Argentine striker is and forever will be a Barcelona man.
