2006 was the first year that the Emirates Stadium was completed, kicking in a new era of Arsenal football. After a near century at Highbury, a 390 million pound stadium was erected to become the third largest stadium in England behind Wembley and Old Trafford.

Along with the stadium came new kits with the primary sponsor of Fly Emirates branded cross the front. This brand would become synonymous with Arsene Wenger and while this stadium plagued Arsenal’s pocket book for years, now that it’s all paid off we can look back and fondly remember what we had to suffer through to get the the Arsenal that we have today.
The 2006 season was still well within earshot of the Invincible year, but a new page had been turned and this new Arsenal is still coming to fruition today.
