The Premier League is back, and it is not going away again until next March. This should be the greatest news ever. It means that we will get to see our tied-for-the-top Arsenal back in action against a team that we should want to smack particularly hard.

Arsenal went into international break with a match that turned up mixed reviews. It was a North London Derby and it ended 1-1. On one side, Arsenal should count themselves fortunate because Tottenham did look potent at times. But on the other hand, Arsenal should feel a bit robbed given the chances they had, particularly off the head of Olivier Giroud. Not to mention the fact that a win would have put Arsenal ahead of Manchester City to top the table.

Whatever the case, Arsenal need to get back to their winning ways. West Bromwich Albion has scored a mere ten goals so far this year, which is tied for the worst goal production in the league. They sit 13th in the table and on paper, they do not pose much of a threat. Not to mention the fact that our man Serge Gnabry was called ‘not good enough’ by Baggies’ manager Tony Pulis. Call it incentive.

But Arsenal’s starting XI is a major question mark. Who is healthy? It is hard to tell. That makes it even harder to predict. Is Alexis Sanchez healthy? That is probably the biggest question. And with Dinamo Zagreb coming up the following Tuesday, Wenger will likely have to balance out his squad between a lower-tier Premier League squad and a supposedly-lower-tier European opposition.

With all of these factors and variables in mind, let’s get started predicting a starting XI that will be immensely tough to predict. We will start where we always do, where the iron man between the posts will be reassuring us that no squibbling goal from the Baggies tame attack will squeak past him.
