Taters – Aaron Ramsey

You know how much those people from the United Kingdom love their taters. In the words of Samwise Gamgee in Lord of the Rings, what can’t you do with taters? “Boil’em, mash’em, stick’em in a stew.” Taters are universal. They are fantastic and go superbly with any meal out there. Except maybe cake.

The same can be said of Aaron Ramsey. He can stand all on his own, in a stew or in soup, or he can serve as a tertiary food, sitting on the edge of the plate next to the ham, the turkey or the … steak. Aaron Ramsey proved that taters can stand alone in the 2013/14 season. He dominated. He carried Arsenal like Alexis Sanchez did in 2014/15 and like Mesut Ozil is doing now.

But again, as we have seen in the past two years, when taters no longer have to stand alone, when they become mashed potatoes or baked potatoes, they are still just as good and just as tasty, even if they are not so dominant on the plate.

Potatoes are the ultimate, versatile side dish but they can also rock out at the entrée.

Moving on, we get to the most often-underrated piece of Thanksgiving dinner.
