4. Arsenal Make History At The San Siro
Just as they did against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu, Arsenal made history yet again, but this time, it was against AC Milan at the San Siro in 2007.
No English team had ever beaten the Serie A giants at their ground in the Champions League, so Arsenal decided to bring that to an end. Emmanuel Adebayor and Cesc Fabregas scored for the Gunners to claim a 2-0 victory and send the title holders crashing out of the competition in the round of 16.
It was a sound defensive performance from a notoriously shaky defense, and an impressive one given the fact that Arsenal managed to nullify the offensive threat posed by the likes of Kaka and Alexandre Pato. It was one of the greatest displays of football that Arsenal has ever played away from home in the Champions League.
