Arsenal vs Sunderland: Betting Odds And Tips
All the betting odds you need for Arsenal’s upcoming match with Sunderland, including a few tips to put some money in your wallet.
Last week was a bitter disappointment for the Gunners. Not only did Norwich fight back to hold them to a 1-1 draw, but nearly every player who wasn’t already injured went down with a further injury. The Arsenal squad is decimated right now, and there is very little let up in the schedule especially as we come to the always busy Christmas period. On Saturday, Arsenal face a struggling Sunderland at home, and a win is essential if the squad holds any title aspirations.

According to the bookies, Arsenal are heavy, heavy favorites, priced at a lowly 1/4, and Sunderland are not fancied at all, all the way out of 10/1. That is a very generous for a team that, while struggling, epitomizes the new manager effect under Sam Allardyce. Big Sam has been a menace for Arsenal sides of past, and the draw is a sneaky option a t 9/2.
Like many games recently, there is little point backing a Gunners’ victory at such a low price, so look towards Olivier Giroud to score to enhance your odds. Giroud to score and Arsenal to win is at 4/6 which is a much fairer price, and half time/full time of Arsenal is at a very generous 8/11. While Sunderland could frustrate the Gunners, I see Arsenal winning this game fairly comfortably, bouncing back from poor performances of weeks past.
Arsenal to win and both team to score at 15/8 is a very tempting offer, and while I expect Arsenal to win with plenty of goals, Arsenal and over 2.5 goals at 8/11 is a harsh and I would avoid it with such limited returns. Look for an Arsenal victory, but boost your odds by incorporating both teams to score or back Olivier Giroud to ripple the net. A draw is a nice sneaky bet, but the Gunners are rightly heavily fancied.
