2. Joel Campbell Is Starting XI Quality
I’m not one to pull the whole ‘I told you so’ card. But I will do it here. Because I’m fickle like that. I had been saying since the start of last season that all Joel Campbell needed was a chance. Lo and behold he was given that chance and look what has happened. Arsenal have found a bonafide winger that is making life much easier throughout the injury process.

The young Costa Rican put up beautiful assist for the second goal. With the ball at his feet in a scoring position, Campbell did not rush. He did not panic or fret. He just waited and watched. That requires so much mental strength. He waited for Giroud, found him, and Giroud found the net.
Campbell led the entire team with three key passes. In fact, he had three of the team’s seven key passes. He completed a higher percentage of passes than Mesut Ozil and he even added three tackles, the second most of anyone on the team.
Joel Campbell has earned that starting right wing spot. His composure is that of a seasoned veteran, yet he has the energy of a 23-year old. He has yet to have a bad performance for Arsenal since stepping in for the injured mass and until he does, Arsene Wenger cannot even think about sitting him.
Finally, onto number one. Which will probably be met with extreme ridicule. But here we go.
