Skill: 5- Once again we are faced with more passing perfection from Arsenal. There is no surprise that at the heart of another scintillating offensive foray, we find Jack Wilshere and Olivier Giroud at the heart of things. Arsenal often find themselves up against stingy defenses, looking to absorb pressure and close down space. When the Gunners find themselves in tight spaces, they have the ingenuity to outmaneuver any opposition.

Opponent: 1- Sunderland were utterly eviscerated by the swiftness of Arsenal’s fluid midfield. Once again, however, the Gunners feasted on a lower level opponent. Sunderland are often fighting for their Premier League lives and don’t embody the type of opponent that Arsenal should consider in their echelon.
Significance: 2- Arsenal displayed some truly wondrous skill during the 2013/14 season. Although it was very significant in many ways, marking a clear shift in the club’s direction, in the end this season just did not live up to expectations.
