1. Arsenal is a team centered on loyalty

What makes Arsenal so much different than other squads like Manchester City or Manchester United? Arsenal puts out a team that they have built. Those Manchester clubs buy players and throw them together. If it doesn’t work, they find someone else. There is no loyalty.

But at Arsenal, there is as much loyalty for a player staying at the team as their is for a club hanging onto a player. Selling players constantly gives young players at the team no reason to fall into the culture of the club. Why would they? They could be sold at any minute. Then what would they do with all those fond feelings that they had made at the club? I understand that football is a business too, but you have to respect the loyalty. It’s a rare trait in sports today.

Re-signing Flamini would show guys like Ramsey and Wilshere that they will always have a place on the team. Even when they may fade into utility players, Arsenal will still always have their best interests at heart.

There you have it. I am officially in the ‘Let’s Keep Flamini’ club (or maybe I’m the founding member of the club). Leave a comment if you are a fellow member of this club. Or leave a comment if you think I should set the club on fire and walk away.
