Arsenal may be facing a very active January transfer window. With that in mind, let’s make the rounds and pick one player from each Ligue 1 side that Arsenal could use.

Arsene Wenger has a particular affinity for French players. At least he has in the past. As such, it is not unusual to see him buying young French players from all over the world. He has also done some shopping in Ligue 1 too. Both Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny were bought from Ligue 1 sides and both are rather valuable to the current Arsenal side.

Arsenal has also been linked to their fair share of Ligue 1 stars, including Edinson Cavani, Alexandre Lacazette, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marco Verratti. No such moves have come to fruition but you can bet that, given that it is Arsene Wenger’s homeland, he is regularly poking his his head in, searching for potential deals.

January is going to be pretty eventful for Arsenal, whether new signings are made or not. Arsenal desperately need some reinforcements but with Wenger at the helm, there is always the risk that very little or no signings are made. Rumors will still run rampant however, as they are now.
