10. Lauren

The Cameroonian international was purchased in 2000 for £7.2 million. Lauren came out of relative obscurity. He had bounced around in Spain with Mallorca being his last stop before Arsene Wenger noticed the lad and scooped him up.

While it was not all milk and honey when he first arrived, mainly due to injury, Lauren worked his way into becoming the irreplaceable right back of an Arsenal squad that would go unbeaten. Pretty special stuff. Being an Invincible already makes you a clutch signing.

Lauren was versatile enough to cover on defense or in the midfield.

Yet injuries continued to debilitate the right back and eventually he was shipped off to Portsmouth for a minuscule fee. Lauren was a fantastic signing that fit perfectly into the Arsenal squad for a small chunk of years. Injuries, go figure, had a huge part to play in him not making a much larger impact on the squad. He was an integral part of the Invincible squad, however, and that cannot be forgotten.

Coming up next, another Invincible wedges his name onto the list.
