3. His Versatility

Yes, I did just say that his fluctuating positioning could be bad for him. I’m not trying to second-guess that. Isco plays a mass of positions and while he has looked proficient at all of them, there is no one set place that you can point to as Isco’s position. I’m sure Arsene Wenger would have his own ideas about where Isco should play as well. The point is that Le Prof would have options.

Just about any position on the club could benefit from the presence of someone like Isco. He just has the talent to be relevant anywhere. But given a steady position to call his own, Arsenal could very well see Isco hit heights he has not even seen yet.

Wenger is known for finding the best possible positions for guys. Thierry Henry wasn’t always a striker. Neither was Robin van Persie. Wenger knows the game and he would undoubtedly find a position where Isco’s mass of potential can be properly optimized.

As an added benefit, when injuries inevitably strike again, Isco will be ready to cover any position that has a lapse in personnel. He’s like the gift that keeps on giving.
