1. His Work Ethic

I may have cited pretty technique and perfect passing as two of the main characteristics that Arsenal players tend to share, but there is another that Arsene Wenger is hitting on more than ever. Work ethic. Wenger said towards the tail end of last year that he expects every player to defend as a team.

I have seen Theo Walcott and Mesut Ozil make conscious efforts to defend more. I never thought that would be possible. If Wenger values work ethic and that engine mentality, then Isco will be ready to contribute, no assembly required.

Isco is always hustling. He is always leading the charge for the ball no matter what the state of the game is. He plays defensively when needed, he pushes forward, he does everything he can to benefit the team. Work ethic like that is hard to find and it comes from that hunger previously mentioned. The problem with all of this work is that it is not being properly rewarded at Real Madrid and that is a shame. It has not dampened his spirits though. Watch him play on any given day and you will see him rampaging about the pitch.

That is something no team can have too much of.
