5 Fiercest Moments Between Arsene Wenger And Jose Mourinho

Jose Mourinho does do one thing right. He wins. A lot. It seems like wherever he goes, he pulls in silverware. That can be frustrating from Arsene Wenger’s perspective because he has been with one club for the gross majority of his coaching career. So to see this little Portuguese man come into his domain and win more must be flustering.
Following a heated on-field feud between the two clubs in 2005, Wenger lashed out at Jose Mourinho, who had referred to Le Prof as a ‘voyeur’.

“He’s out of order, disconnected with reality and disrespectful. When you give success to stupid people, it makes them more stupid sometimes,” Wenger said, as quoted by the Express.
You will not hear Wenger more heated than that. To call another manager stupid is a pretty extreme measure for the Frenchman. But given the circumstances and the undoubted frustration, it’s hard to blame him. If only he had known then what would be happening ten years later.
Wenger does have a point though, when you give stupid people success, they think that they are smart. I’m not here to debate whether or not Jose Mourinho was stupid. I’m just here to point out that Wenger is a philosopher.
