3. Keeping An Eye On Tottenham

This year, Tottenham has faced runs much like Liverpool, although they did not have such a shoddy start. Recently, Tottenham has lost to that pesky Newcastle and drew against Chelsea and West Brom. Two points from those three games will have Arsenal fans remembering the two points they pulled out of a similar stretch of games.
Yet through it all, Tottenham remains in fifth place, seven points behind Arsenal. They are just close enough to keep an eye on but far away enough to not feel threatened by. It is becoming increasingly apparent that the Spurs live and die by the foot of Harold Kane.
Tottenham will face a Southampton side that is buried at 12th on the table despite having a +2 goal differential. The Saints are a good team and they could very easily give the Spurs a solid zero points. If that happens, the Spurs could fall through a trap door and drop off the table. Crystal Palace figures to beat Stoke City, so they will surpass Spurs. Watford and Liverpool sit one and two points behind Spurs, respectively, so that result is big to the Spurs as well. West Ham can put down Swansea to pass Spurs and even Everton sit only three points removed from Tottenham.
The Spurs are sitting in a dunk booth. All these teams have a shot at knocking them into the water. It all starts with Southampton.
Next up, the glorious offensive clout of Manchester United.
