Mesut Ozil is good. He has been subtly blowing the socks off of everyone this year. But he has yet to face a really stout and physical defensive midfield like City have. Toure and Fernandinho are going to be out to stifle the greatest creative midfielder in the universe with the knowledge that he often struggles against physical opponents.

Ozil will have to be sharp on the ball and quick to pick out his team mates. He is going to need Aaron Ramsey going forward to find him some more space as well. But keep in mind that this is Mesut Ozil. He is usually able to create from absolutely nothing or when up against a wall. That’s just what he does.

Olivier Giroud will not have to deal with the aerial expertise of Vincent Kompany. That is good. He is bigger than both of City’s starting center backs. That is also good. Giroud is also starting to show some scoring consistency.

It is all falling into place around Olivier Giroud. If Arsenal can get him proper services, it is very possible that he can continue his scoring ways against the Citizens.
