Arsenal vs Bournemouth Predictions
By Josh Sippie
Arsenal will look to recover against Bournemouth at the Emirates after just a 48 hour layoff. Here are the predictions from the Pain in the Arsenal staff.
Fresh off of having three writers pick the correct result against Manchester City, every single writer at Pain in the Arsenal predicted an Arsenal win at Southampton, most predicting rather large wins and clean sheets. Oops. Time to do what Arsenal is going to do and bounce back. Here are the predictions:

Finn: Arsenal 1-1 Bournemouth
The Gunners just played one of their worst matches of the season, so all momentum has to be disregarded against an unpredictable Bournemouth side.
Andy: Arsenal 3-1 Bournemouth
After the debacle on Saturday night, it’s difficult to see Arsenal playing as poorly again. Wenger will definitely want Arsenal to start on the front foot and hopefully we’ll see Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud back in top form. Arsenal will win this game, relatively comfortably, but I can’t see them keeping a clean sheet against a dangerous Bournemouth attack.
Brian: Arsenal 3-1 Bournemouth
Arsenal played terribly on Boxing day and that was simply unacceptable for a title contender. However, I have faith in Wenger and so far this season, Arsenal have always responded positively after a poor showing. I trust the attack will get back to scoring and the defense will be much more organized at the back, in spite of the occasional mental lapses we all know are coming.
Nasra: Arsenal 2-1 Bournemouth
The heavy defeat against Southampton disappointingly saw Arsenal miss the chance to go top of the league. Luckily, the Gunners have another chance to take top spot should Leicester drop points, but only if they win against Bournemouthon Monday
It is difficult to predict this match given Bournemouth’s good form against top four opposition, as well as Arsenal’s tendency to drop points against lesser teams. However, one would have to think that with the opportunity at hand, Arsenal would take advantage. Especially given the fact that they squandered their previous chance. I expect Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott to get back to their usual scoring ways to give the Gunners a narrow win over a confident Bournemouth side.
Josh: Arsenal 3-1 Bournemouth
Southampton was a fluke. You can’t pick one game out of the season and say that this is what Arsenal have become. They are overflowing with class and are still favorites to win the Premier League. They will prove that against Bournemouth. Everyone is going to be tired on both sides. That could lead to some sloppy defending, but Arsenal’s defense will have a little added zeal.
Look for Theo Walcott to unleash the dogs. He’ll nab a brace and Olivier Giroud will knock in the clincher. Mesut Ozil will assist twice to make up for Southampton and Aaron Ramsey will get the other.
Thomas: Arsenal 1-0 Bournemouth
Arsenal will bounce back with a sketchy win, but a win nevertheless, against Bournemouth. The Gunners will take the three points with a 1-0 score line, courtesy of an Aaron Ramsey goal.
