This rumor sprung up recently as another cheap, long-term solution to Arsenal’s defensive midfield fiasco. Koziello is currently suiting up for Nice in Ligue 1. Even at just 20 years old, he is doing remarkably well. He has become a regular with the French side and has added two goals and two assists to their campaign.

But it is not just in the offense that he is his best. Defensively, he is a master tackler. The youngster averages 3.5 tackles per game despite his lesser size. He also shows fantastic composure in his 90% pass completion (via WhoScored).

The Metro is reporting that Arsenal are in pole position to land the young French midfielder. This is pretty much all hearsay but it is good news nonetheless.

Aside from being French, Koziello has something else that Arsenal gravitates towards. He is incredibly cheap. He is still not really on the international radar yet and as such, his market value is less than £1 million. For what he is and what he can become, now is the time to scoop him up. We do not want to see him go somewhere cheap, a la Grzegorz Krychowiak, and then see the price skyrocket.
