10. Grzegorz Krychowiak

The reason why the Polish bruiser is so far down on this list is because he keeps embedding himself into Sevilla’s long term plans. Not only that, but at every juncture he has shot down a potential move to the Premier League. His latest reasoning is because of the weather. To each his own, I suppose.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

Krychowiak has been very firm that he is happy at Sevilla. He recently signed a new contract, upping his release clause to over £20 million. It is rather painful when considering that the Pole joined Sevilla last summer for just under £3 million. Call it a missed opportunity.

The only reason why Krychowiak still makes this list is because of how good of a fit he is. The Pole is a dynamic defensive midfielder. He brings so much strength, physicality and intensity to the center of the pitch that he would be able to give Coquelin a run for his money.

Again, exactly what Arsenal needs.

But until he is available, the Polish midfielder remains a distant wish. Moving on to number nine, we get to another defensive midfielder that rather enjoys his current scenario despite Arsenal linkage.
