Arsenal U12 Wonderkid Omari Hutchinson Is Something To Look Forward To
By Josh Sippie
Arsenal have plenty of wonderteens at their disposal, but Omari Hutchinson is an actual wonderkid. Have a look at what the U12 star can do already.
We’ve all heard of the wonderkids Arsenal have stockpiled. From Donyell Malen up to Gedion Zelalem, there is plenty to be excited about. However, those are wonderteens. What Arsenal have in youngster Omari Hutchinson is a bit more, well, young.

Hutchinson is a U12 star for Arsenal that has been showing the world exactly what he can do. His compendium of skills is massive. He can dribble better than Olivier Giroud and shoot better than Danny Welbeck. He tackles better than Theo Walcott and hustles better than Mesut Ozil. And he isn’t even a teenager yet.
For all the gruff that Arsenal’s academy has been getting lately, Hutchinson is proof that they still have it. People are pointing to their two top prospects being ‘store bought’ and that in some way degrades the Arsenal academy. There is no need to buy much when you have youngsters like Hutchinson suiting up in the Arsenal red at such a young age.
Without further ado, have a look at what this young man can do:
The immediate question is can he play now? Because Arsenal could use another left-sided midfielder and if he can put in goals from that distance, then there is no time to waste.

Of course, Arsenal will have to wait at least four years before this young lad can even be considered for the first team, and while his skills are impressive, it is rather unlikely that he gets a call from whoever is managing Arsenal in four years (just kidding, of course it will be Arsene Wenger) asking for him to suit up for the senior squad. Although it only took Jack Wilshere until he was 18 to get his chance.
Whatever the case, Omari Hutchinson gives us plenty to be excited about. As a midfielder, he shows tremendous work ethic, tackling ability, strength, technicality and finishing. Anything you could want in a player, he has it. Except or size. I think we can make an exception though. The best part of the video starts at 1:05, when Hutchinson watches all of his team mates let a Norwich U12 player run past them. Hutchinson kicks it up a gear, chases the kid all the way down, lowers a shoulder into him and takes the ball.
