Arsenal was frustrated at home to a stingy Hull City and a replay will have to decide it. Here are the player ratings from the goalless draw.

The last thing Arsenal need is more fixtures, but that’s what they will get as they were unable to push a goal past Hull keeper Eldin Jakupović, who quite literally played out of his skin.

As such, it ended goalless. Here are the player ratings.

Arsenal FC. DAVID OSPINA. 6.8. Made the one save that he had to make. Looked a bit unsure of himself on a cross or two but he kept a clean sheet for Arsenal as well.. GK

7.5. Another positive performance from Arsenal’s young defender. Got forward well and defended with poise. Had a few slip ups but nothing to cause any major concerns.. RB. Arsenal FC. CALUM CHAMBERS

7.3. Solid day from Arsenal’s big man. Everyone on the defense had a good enough day and Per was no exception. Had one iffy moment late-on but nothing to trouble the final result of the match.. CB. Arsenal FC. PER MERTESACKER

MAN OF THE MATCH. Very proactive. Looked impeccable today. Read the play perfectly and refused to let Hull get away with anything. This is the Boss we are used to seeing and it will be a fantastic turn of events if he can latch onto that form yet again. Going into this stretch of games, it could be crucial.. CB. Arsenal FC. LAURENT KOSCIELNY. 7.8

Gibbs is a very good player and it is almost a shame that he has such an insurmountable roadblock ahead of him. His offensive prodding is useful and his defensive ability is on par to match it. If he keeps playing this well, we may have to worry about him leaving. He deserves to play.. LB. Arsenal FC. KIERAN GIBBS. 7.4

MATHIEU FLAMINI. 7.2. I am hypercritical of Flamini, so any game where I can’t really pick out anything he did wrong must have been a good game. Still has the composure to perform, just not against top tier teams.. MID. Arsenal FC

7.6. Positive follow-up for Elneny. His major strength came out in this match: The guy never stop moving. On and off the ball he is always poking and prodding for space. Set up some nice opportunities but nothing was going in that net today.. MID. Arsenal FC. MOHAMED ELNENY

7.4. Wonderful reminder of what Campbell can do. His dribbling was on par, his defense was exceptional and he should have had a goal from his beautifully-taken free kick. He is going to give Wenger some serious selection dilemmas.. MID. Arsenal FC. JOEL CAMPBELL

ALEX IWOBI. 7.3. The composure is improving. The confidence is growing. He is starting to look like a formidable threat on this squad. Can definitely start challenging for more play time. Another player that probably should have had a goal on the day.. MID. Arsenal FC

DANNY WELBECK. 7.2. His moves were crisp. His work ethic was pristine. But he did not score. This was a huge opportunity for Welbeck and while the performance by itself was a good one, it’s the same old tune for the Englishman. No goals for Arsenal.. MID. Arsenal FC

7.3. Another person that I am always hypercritical of, Walcott looked great today. He leeched the striker role from Danny Welbeck but it seemed to make him come to live. His touch looked inspired, his passing was clean. Same as everyone else though – should have had a goal.. MID. Arsenal FC. THEO WALCOTT

Set up a fantastic opportunity for the Ox, but the Englishman scuffed it. Giroud’s aerial bossing is a staple in this Arsenal team and you can’t help but wonder if he would have made a difference if given the start.. ST. Arsenal FC. OLIVIER GIROUD. 7.0

6.4. Poor. Very poor. Is not on the same page as his team mates and that is concerning going into the upcoming clump of fixtures.. MID. Arsenal FC. ALEXIS SANCHEZ

6.7. Nothing special out of the Ox. Had a glorious opportunity to find Sanchez if he had opted to do so, but instead chose to shoot on goal. And it was a poor shot.. MID. Arsenal FC. ALEX OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN
