Arsenal: £34 Million For Sanchez Disrespectful
Juventus Sporting Director Giuseppe Marotta has revealed that Arsenal have rejected a miserly and disrespectful £34 million bid for Alexis Sanchez.
Selling your best players, no matter the cost, very rarely ends well. Arsenal have proven that in the past with the departures of Cesc Fabregas and Robin Van Persie among others setting the club back significantly in recent seasons. Well, now there’s another ongoing transfer saga, and Arsenal cannot afford to lose it.

Juventus are on the hunt for some attacking spark, and they feel that they may have found it in the shape of Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez. Spark is certainly a way to describe the Chilean winger. Willing to be direct and purposeful with the ball, Sanchez will often lose the ball in the quest of something special. The key to his game, however, is that he is so often the player to provide exactly that, something special.

Sanchez truly is a special player and Arsenal need to hold on to him if they have any hopes of winning the Premier League next season. It is a quality that Juventus have clearly highlighted, with the Sporting Director Giuseppe Marotta stating:
"“Sanchez is a great player, but Arsenal do not want to give him up. We informed the Gunners, who asked for £34m – surely a reasonable fee. However, when we responded to this request, Arsenal told us they will not sell the player.”"
However, £34 million for a player of Sanchez’s quality, in the current market, is utterly disrespectful. Sanchez is proven in Italy, Spain and England, has performed exceptionally in Europe and was voted player of the tournament in Chile’s recent victorious Copa America campaign. He has pace, a great touch, is a decent finisher, scores and creates goals and is as hard a worker as anyone.
He truly is a terrific player and has only inflated his transfer fee since his £35 million move to Arsenal two Summers ago. Anything below £40 million is a miserly figure. In reality, Arsenal should be looking for £50 million for their star man, but ultimately, they shouldn’t be looking to sell whatsoever.

The ever increasingly elusive spark that the top clubs are desperately searching for is hard to find. Once they have it, they’d have to be foolish to let it go. Arsenal have it in Sanchez, and £34 million is not nearly enough to prize it away.
