Santi Cazorla and Granit Xhaka

Whoever thinks I’m crazy, raise your hand. Thank you. Now put them down. Granit Xhaka could find himself tossed right back out into the fray, at least I find it incredibly logical that he could be. Xhaka is set to miss the weekends clash in the Premier League, so why put unnecessary stress on Francis Coquelin, who has just returned to action?

More from Pain in the Arsenal

Xhaka had his day cut short anyway, so he will be rested and ready to go. Plus, he will be fiending to put that nightmare of a match behind him and I think Wenger would be well within his right mind to give the Swiss his chance. It would be no slight on Coquelin, who will have the most important job of coming back into the Premier League.

Santi Cazorla is always going to be out there. He has very little competition. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Mohamed Elneny sneak into the starting XI, but at the same time, this is the Champions League, no matter who the opponent is.

Moving on up, let’s talk about who starts on the wings.
