Rob Holding and Gabriel Paulista

Maybe I’m more excited about Gabriel than most Arsenal people, but I can’t help it. He has so much raw talent and so much passion. I often compare him to the center back version of Francis Coquelin. He just needs some fine-tuning and as long as he can stay healthy, that will come with time.

He did miss out on his chance to be a regular starter, but this is Arsene Wenger, chances will come again.

Next to him will be the wonderboy Rob Holding, who, in my humble opinion, should be overtaking John Stones as the future of the English defense. He was absolutely capable of holding down the position next to Laurent Koscielny, although the resulting replacement in the form of Shkodran Mustafi will bring no complaint out of me.

These two can continue to build on an evolving partnership and that is an equally exciting prospect.

Onward, Gooners! To our precious midfield.
