Shkodran Mustafi and Laurent Koscielny

Hello, consistency at the highest level. Although, it must be said that these two did look mildly shaky against Swansea and, to a lesser extent, Boro. Still, ask me to throw together any stronger pairing of central defenders in the Premier League and I couldn’t do it. Arsenal has the best of the best in these two and hopefully that partnership can be extended for years to come.

Mustafi was probably the most shaky against Swansea, as Koscielny was responsible for some clutch defending that counteracted his shaky moments. Hopefully they used those lapses in judgment as learning experiences and can push on against Sunderland.

The only potentially problematic tool that Sunderland can deploy is the ageless wonder, Jermaine Defoe. Although, throw in Peter Crouch against an often aerially-defunct team and things could get interesting as well.

Let’s get questionable with our predictions at midfield for the Gunners.
