Carl Jenkinson and Kieran Gibbs

This one writes itself, as no one else that plays fullback is going to be with the team. Nacho Monreal is still hurt (which may prove to be his demise) and Hector Bellerin is (hopefully) just getting the week off in the build up to the North London Derby.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

Which means that two fan favorites will be back in the fray. Carl Jenkinson, the lifelong Arsenal fan, will undoubtedly keep improving with each progressive start. He looked good upon his return to first team action and it’s silly to think that Ludogorets would provide any added challenge.

Meanwhile, Kieran Gibbs was an absolute stalwart in his return to the Premier League starting XI against Sunderland. He led the pitch in numerous statistical areas, including chances created, and made Bellerin look like a schoolboy, as he was completely overshadowed.

Gibbs has to earn that starting left back spot and it should be made even easier when the Gunners stomp out a few embers in Bulgaria. He may not be captaining, but he can still be a leader out there.

Let’s talk about the centerbacks, which may or may not need rotating as well.
