Arsenal: Mesut Ozil Is Too Good For Chelsea
Jason Cundy has stated that he wouldn’t want Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil anywhere near the Chelsea side. What on earth is he on about?
Alan Shearer has seemingly stirred a debate regarding the very best players in the Premier League. In a rather sweeping statement, the Match of the Day pundit claimed that Sergio Aguero is the only world class player in England. There was significant backlash from many fans from various fan bases, one of them, being Arsenal’s.

The claim that only the Manchester City forward is rather remiss of Shearer. The likes of Eden Hazard, David De Gea, Alexis Sanchez and Kevin De Bruyne all have pretty strong cases to be considered in the same class as the Argentine.

Well, now another former player has looked to add his thoughts to the pot of apparent, or apparently not, world class players. Former Chelsea defender Jason Cundy has stated that he does not want Mesut Ozil, the bonafide Arsenal star, anywhere near the Blues side:
"“Aside from not being world class, he isn’t even the best player at his club right now as Sanchez is proving more important and I wouldn’t have him anywhere near Chelsea. I was asked who I would take between him and Dele Alli prior to the North London derby, give me Alli all day. At least he has a backbone and heart for the fight. For me Ozil epitomises Arsenal, the two were made for each other. He’s pretty on the eye but when the bullets start flying he is nowhere to be seen.”"
What on earth is he on about?
This is a Chelsea side that were dismantled and dizzied by the dazzling brilliance of Ozil, as he and Sanchez twisted and turned, pulled and probed their way to a 3-0 pummeling of a lost and unbalance Antonio Conte team. This is a Chelsea side that, bar the a recent upturn have form, have struggled to create chances all year long, relying on a piece of individual brilliance from Hazard or brutish force from Diego Costa. This is a Chelsea side that, since winning the league in 2014, toiled to tenth in the table last year, splintering at the seams thanks to a group of apathetic, egotistical players who claim to be more than their successes suggest.

Chelsea would be honoured to garner the talents of a Mesut Ozil, and Cundy is simply unhinged if he thinks otherwise.
