Arsenal: Predicted Starting XI To Face Manchester United
By Josh Sippie
Granit Xhaka and Francis Coquelin
This is where the match will be won and lost. These two will not have the biggest task to establish control in the center of the pitch. The only thing in their way is Paul Pogba. Honestly, if Coquelin has one job on the day – to shut down Pogba – then I think we should be just fine. More on that later today.
Xhaka has to push forward more. He showed some promising signs against Tottenham but there has to be more development in the offensive department. Thankfully, there should be evidence of improvement, as Xhaka has shown a keen ability to improve where necessary in certain areas.
With no Fellaini, there won’t be much of a holding pair to get through. It’s unlikely that Mourinho starts Schweinsteiger, as I’m not even sure the Special One knows he exists. So by that standard, Xhaka won’t have much to beat other than that one guy that cost a lot of money.
Again, invest faith in these two, they could put together an inspiring effort. Like their Tottenham performance with an extra umph.
Let’s get offensive with the wide attackers.
