Shkodran Mustafi and Laurent Koscielny

Yeah, let’s not change anything here. While Gabriel and Rob Holding inspire a good deal of confidence in their own right, Kostafi is needed to keep that stability with all of these other proposed changes I have going on in this here ideal XI.

As I’m sure everyone knows by now, Arsenal is undefeated so long as Mustafi is in the starting XI. That is something you can milk for all it’s worth. It is also not a fluke. This is a new Gunner team that draws a lot of its ‘newness’ from arrivals like Mustafi.

Meanwhile, Laurent Koscielny is still a stud, and that isn’t going to change any time soon.

Edinson Cavani looked a bit like a lost dog when we visited in Paris, and I don’t see why the Uruguayan would be any more of a threat against the same defense on a much less friendly grounds.

Also, I keep calling for Mustafi to score a goal. That is going to happen before too much longer. I see him as our third biggest aerial threat, meaning that he should be able to fly under the radar at times.
