Alexis Sanchez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

See, I just said that the midfield has been the biggest problem area, but then I got to the wide attackers and I’m second-guessing myself. When Ozil gets smothered, he needs outlets to create around him and these two wide guys have not been able to provide him that. Theo Walcott and Alex Iwobi have been largely irrelevant, if not negative impacts.

Obviously Alexis Sanchez starts. I think he needs to start finding his legs again out wide because we need that option. He needs to be able to fill the creative role that we have seen before and alleviate this frustrating run of form that we have been seeing out of this offense.

On the other side of things, we need to change it up. Please, no Alex Iwobi. Also, Theo Walcott has not been following up on his strong start and I’m beginning to wonder if he wasn’t just mooching on a strong offensive engine.

So give it to the Ox. Let him run around out there and try to make a difference because it’s not like anyone else is. Bournemouth should not be able to cope with his speed/strength combination and you never know, maybe he can be the difference maker that no one else wants to be.
