Arsenal eventually ran out 3-1 winners over Bournemouth thanks to two Alexis Sanchez goals and a Theo Walcott header. Here are all the player ratings.

Arsene Wenger stated before Sunday’s hosting of Bournemouth that he was looking for his side to re-find their early season, blistering form that served them so well. While Arsenal were not as fluent and dangerous in attacking areas as they have been this year, there were clear improvements that Wenger should take great pleasure from.

Le Prof should look to thank Alexis Sanchez who was tremendous throughout, with his continual movement, drifting into wide areas and dropping deep causing major issues for the Bournemouth defence. There are still issues in central midfield with the absence of Santi Cazorla but there are promising signs to be seen.

Here are all the player ratings from the 3-1 win.

7.3. Made some fairly routine saves but had very little to do throughout. Clearly, he could have not been blamed for the penalty.. GK. Arsenal. PETR CECH

N/A. Went off injured very early and had too little time to fairly judge his performance. Desperately unlucky after being a surprise inclusion at the expense of Carl Jenkinson.. RB. Arsenal. MATHIEU DEBUCHY

CB. Arsenal. SHKDORAN MUSTAFI. 7.2. Very typical game for both Mustafi and Koscielny. Solid, reliable and unruffled throughout. He had little to do, but did what he needed to well. His pace allows the Gunners to play a high line which is crucial in Wenger’s new system.

7.2. He and Mustafi are quickly becoming a world-class partnership. Very few if any mistakes from either against Bournemouth and growing in his role as captain. Fantastic.. CB. Arsenal. LAURENT KOSCIELNY

LB. Arsenal. NACHO MONREAL. 6.8. Continues to struggle defensively, especially with pace. While he was harshly pulled up for the penalty, he was still caught the wrong side of Callum Wilson in the first place. Though did place a lovely cross square for Theo Walcott’s goal.

6.8. Better than his partner but still not the domination that £35 million demands. Tidy in possession, strong and powerful in defensive areas, but looks far more effective as the deeper of the two central midfielders.. CB. Arsenal. GRANIT XHAKA

Too slow and ponderous in possession once again, especially in the first half. Does allow Wenger to rest Francis Coquelin and Aaron Ramsey, however.. CM. Arsenal. MOHAMED ELNENY. 5.8

7.4. Flashed his pace throughout but his end product was inconsistent. Took his only goal well and looked to link up with Sanchez and Ozil. Has clearly improved in the defensive side of the game.. RW. Arsenal. THEO WALCOTT

Similar to his wide partner, had a couple of moments, but was far too inconsistent throughout. End product still an issue with his game but also willing to track back and help out a struggling Nacho Monreal.. LW. Arsenal. ALEX OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN. 6.7

MESUT OZIL. 7.7. Quieter game for the German, but he influences his side’s play far more than the numbers bear out. The little reverse passes, the runs in behind that he has now developed. Not the star-studded display that this season has been littered with, but still a consummate footballer.. CAM. Arsenal

8.8. MAN OF THE MATCH: Excellent throughout. His movement is only improving with more experience as the lone striker and took both goals well. The whole side benefits from him, rather than Olivier Giroud, starting.. ST. Arsenal. ALEXIS SANCHEZ

7.1. Came on for the injured Debuchy. Played well in an uncomfortable position but clearly hurt the attacking potential of the team without the same pace or attacking tendencies of Hector Bellerin. The Spaniard is sorely missed.. SUB. Arsenal. GABRIEL PAULISTA

Looked very lively when he came on with a couple of pot shots and delicious crosses. Had little time to have a huge impact but is definitely coming back to his best form.. SUB. Arsenal. AARON RAMSEY. 7.4

7.7. Provided the assist for Sanchez’s goal after a nice run to the byline, provided a clear focal point for what was an otherwise a slightly misfiring attack and does bring some much-needed physicallity.. SUB. Arsenal. OLIVIER GIROUD
