Gabriel Paulista and Kieran Gibbs

We’re getting crazy here. This is what happens when Hector Bellerin gets hurt, our fullback situation gets thrown into total disarray. But this is the way to fix that. I was massively impressed with Gabriel Paulista’s ability to acclimate to a new position when he was called upon when Debuchy bit the dust.

It stems from his passion and natural athletic ability and I want more of that. Much more of that. There aren’t many on this Arsenal side that can match Gabriel’s intensity levels and at a time where points are necessary, that could be a crucial detail to get us over the finish line.

And yes, I am again advocating for my man, Kieran Gibbs. I still believe that with Bellerin out, we need a dose of attack from the back and Gabriel will not provide that, though he will certainly try.

I accept that Nacho Monreal will probably be starting, but I am going to stick to my faith in the Englishman and my belief that he would provide more of that we need than our ever-reliable Spaniard.
