Shkodran Mustafi and Laurent Koscielny

Hello, consistency. For all the other question marks in this starting XI thanks to two crucial injuries, at least we can always rely on the Kostafi partnership to hold down the back of the formation. They have had a relatively shaky recent couple of matches, but no one is perfect, although this defensive pairing is about as close as we can get.

Not only that, but I am still waiting for a thunderous header from Mustafi. His first goal is there for the taking and I can’t wait to see it happen. His aerial ability is amazing for the lack of height that he has for a central defender.

Not much else to say about these two. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the fact that the best thing that West Ham can send at them is Simone Zaza, who lacks the athleticism to outpace these two and lacks the physical strength to outmuscle them.

Therefore it should be a relatively easy day, but I’m not trying to jinx anything.
