Olivier Giroud and Mesut Ozil

So Mesut Ozil said some really stupid things about how he wouldn’t rule out a return to Real Madrid and it makes me sad. I have always defended him and his comments, but this is impossible to defend. But for now, he is a Gunnerand so long as that is the case, we will be expecting the world out of him.

And frankly, he has not been delivering. A lot of that comes down to Cazorla being gone, but the German maestro has to find some space on his own because the longer he doesn’t, the longer Arsenal suffers from his missing creativity.

Olivier Giroud deserves to start. No one deserves it more. No one has earned it more clearly. The big, bearded Frenchman is a monster when given the chance. Sure, he can make a massive impact from the bench, but he is just as likely to make a big impact in the starting XI. So give him the start.

This is what I would do. My ideal starting XI has yet to be utilized and I doubt if this is the week that it will happen, but I can always remain hopeful. Cazorla being out is a huge missing piece and the game is becoming coping with that. Anyway, what is your ideal XI?
