9. Mental Fortitude

Arsenal has a very solid chance at the Premier League title this season. They have an easy string of matches going into the New Year and then they have a critical showdown against Chelsea, where the title may well be won or lost.

Last year was not the “last chance” for the Gunners to win the title.

That being said, anytime this club is in the running, they tend to think themselves into a corner and drop points when they matter most. Therefore, what Wenger has to want is a bit of mental fortitude. Let’s not see the yearly capitulation. Let’s not see dejection and a bunch of slouched super stars. None of that.

Thankfully, with guys like Shkodran Mustafi, Granit Xhaka and Alexis Sanchez, among others, there is a really nice surplus of guys who are always ready to scream at someone. Just… anyone. Anything to kick start the team and get them back on track.
