6. Danny Welbeck’s scoring boots

Danny Welbeck probably won’t be featuring too much over the Christmas period but that doesn’t mean that he can’t wish for the English stallion’s boots. And by his boots, I mean his scoring boots. Preferably the ones he wears while playing internationally for the Three Lions.

What we saw out of Welbeck at the end of last year, before his injury, was a fantastic sign. His goal against Leicester City embedded him in Gooner’s hearts and it will go a long way towards ensuring his long-time status at Arsenal.

But despite how prolific that goal was, it only goes so far.

Welbeck is going to come back incredibly hungry and incredibly gung-ho and his ethic is going to be such an uplifting force for the Gunner’s.

If he can put on his scoring boots as well, Arsenal may well have found their extra found of offensive potency without any money spent. That would be a pretty cool thing, I say.

Moving on. Let’s talk contracts.
