8. Alan Smith

The original Olivier Giroud, Alan Smith used his height to be one of the best aerial strikers Arsenal has had the pleasure of employing. It was with Alan Smith that the Gunners won one of each of the three major trophies – and then some.

In total, Smith lead the Gunners to two League Championships, an FA Cup, a League Cup and Arsenal’s sole European success, the UEFA Cup Winner’s Cup title of 1994.

Not only did Smith lead the Gunners for four consecutive seasons in goals, but he even took home top honors in the First Division in 1988-89 with 23 goals.

Alan Smith was a Gunner through and through, making 347 appearances for the club and scoring 115 goals. Although he began his career and reached considerable heights with Leicester City, it was in the latter half of his career, the half with the Gunners, that he really reached his best.

Nowadays, you can hear the Englishman on your local Xbox or PlayStation version of FIFA 17 or through his color commentary on SkySports.

Let’s get to lucky No. 7.
