6. John Radford

Radford played 481 matches with Arsenal. That in and of itself is worth a spot on numerous lists out there, but the fact that he used those 481 matches to score 149 goals and rank in as the Gunner’s fourth all time goal scorer just adds to the legend that he is.

Donning the Arsenal kit from 1964 until 1976, Radford raked in his fair share of success with the Gunners. Despite being moved to the right wing by Bertie Mee, Radford found significant success scoring goals with the first team. Yet by the time he was moved up front again, he was leading the Gunners to their first cup in 17 years with the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in 1970.

That success carried over into the League-FA Cup double where he used his passing ability to help augment a budding Arsenal side.

This success would be his biggest achievement, as after that, he slowly dwindled until Frank Stapleton moved into be the new front man.

Radford was a titan for the Gunners and formed a seamless partnership with Ray Kennedy to kick the club to their first successful spell in nearly two decades. Surely that is worthy of his No. 6 spot.

We’re cracking the top 5 with a man who could score in his sleep.
