14. Jack Lambert

The main man Jack Lambert did some amazing things with the club. It all starts with his unbelievable 1930-31 season where he scored 38 goals in 34 matches, including seven hat tricks en route to Arsenal’s first ever First Division title.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

That in and of itself is quite the feat, but Lambert didn’t stop there. Using his brutish size and strength, he continued to rack up the records. He set the record for most goals scored in a single game, scoring five in Arsenal’s 9-2 victory over Sheffield United. Although it would be broken by Ted Drake just a few years later.

He helped the Gunners win their second title in 1932-33 but by then he was not a regular player. Still, he scord 14 goals in 12 appearances, so you can’t deny him the part that he played.

Lambert spent the bulk of his footballing career at Arsenal, making 143 Premier League appearances for the club, scoring 98 goals in the process.

Lambert was one of Arsenal’s first great strikers, and he will always have a place in the conversation of the best to ever ear the red and white.

No. 13 is next.
