2. Mathieu Debuchy

I know right? This guy is still here! It really is a sad story though. Mathieu Debuchy was such a brilliant signing to take over for Bacary Sagna when he slithered off to Manchester City. We essentially bought the guy who replaced Sagna at the international level.

It was brilliant. He was incredibly talented and everything was smoothed over just fine. We forgot all about Sagna.

Then Debuchy got hurt and Hector Bellerin turned into the be all, end all of right backs in the world of football.

Now Debuchy still can’t stay healthy, but even when he is healthy, he is being used with the U23 side.

Wenger’s exit wouldn’t guarantee Debuchy’s health, but it would guarantee a fresh start, should he decide to stay. I think the important thing we need to remember is that Debuchy is incredibly talented. And that doesn’t just go away.

He may still have some time left to give and if Wenger leaves, that will give him a fresh start at being an impact maker on a top tier side, especially if Bellerin jumps on over to Barcelona in the wake of Wenger’s departure.

No. 1 should be obvious. Let’s get to it.
