Arsenal are looking at an incredibly eventful summer between entries and exits and how they are attached. Alexandre Lacazette, however, has no strings attached.

Arsenal’s incoming summer circus should be mixed parts fun and misery. There are numerous looming exits, including Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and perhaps even Jack Wilshere.

But there are also links to numerous incoming moves as well. No matter what state the Gunners are in, they are always going to be an attractive landing spot to high-profile footballers.

As such, names like Isco, Antoine Griezmann, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are all being linked to moves to North London.

However, as we all should have learned in Physics class, every action has an equal and opposite reaction. If the Gunners are to land the incredibly expensive Antoine Griezmann, they will probably have to part with Alexis Sanchez and/or Mesut Ozil.

In order to land Isco, chances are a midfielder is going to have to give way, maybe an Aaron Ramsey or an Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The only signing that doesn’t necessarily require an opposite reaction is Alexandre Lacazette. The French striker is supposedly only going for around £30m and his wages could feasibly stay in the £150,000 range, which is still an increase on what he is reportedly making at Lyon.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

Nobody has to leave to make way for Lacazette. While it would clutter the striker position a bit, it might also just force Alexis back out wide, where he belongs, honestly, and force Wenger into considering a two striker system.

It would undoubtedly get in the way of Lucas Perez, but with how heavily he is tied to an exit, we probably shouldn’t be getting too attached to him right now anyways.

Having no strings attached makes him one of the more attractive options out there. Looking at Arsenal, there is talent there to be utilized, it’s just a matter of utilizing it properly while also keeping hold of the superstars they already have – namely Alexis Sanchez.

Arsenal is at their very best when their attack is pulsing with speed, and the idea of an Alexis-Lacazette-Walcott/Welbeck/Lucas/Ox/Iwobi front three is massively enticing. Almost moreso than what it would look like if Alexis, Ozil and even Ox leave, leaving a front three of Iwobi-Griezmann-Walcott.

Lacazette is on a tear this. He is having his best statistical year while in the process proving that he is to be taken seriously and that Ligue 1 no longer has anything to offer him.
