1. Wenger Can’t Inspire Anymore

I hate to admit something like this, because I still see Arsene Wenger as an inspirational figure and someone that has obviously done so incredibly much for the club and for football in general. But what we saw against West Brom was a manager that was completely incapable of building up an already despairing club.

As I alluded to earlier, one thing you will almost always see from Arsenal is a slow start. Which is inexcusable in and of itself, but that isn’t the point right now.

After that slow start, particularly in the second half, the Gunners looks brand new, inspired and actually hungry to be out there and score goals.

That didn’t happen against West Brom, and it’s been dying out over the past couple of matches as well. It’s just been a matter of time. Eventually, that half time magic was going to wear our and it officially wore out at the Hawthorns.

Barring any drastic changes or announcements, I don’t see how Wenger can inspire the troops anymore. I blame the players plenty. I don’t point all of the blame at Wenger and think it is foolish too. But Wenger oversees them and cultivates them. If they seem uninspired, you have to look at who is supposed to be inspiring them.
