Arsenal: Paris Saint-Germain Saviours Of Alexis Sanchez Chelsea Nightmare
Paris Saint-Germain are set to reignite their pursuit of Alexis Sanchez, saving Arsenal from their potential Chelsea nightmare.
The future of Alexis Sanchez is a topic that has dragged and dragged throughout the season. With Arsenal failing on many fronts in the latter half of the season, the Chilean has visibly grown increasingly frustrated with life at the Emirates, with many now believing that he will indeed leave the club in the summer.

That is, given Sanchez’s public comments, his behaviour on and off the pitch, as well as the fact that his contract expires in the summer of 2018, meaning that if Arsenal want to recoup any value from his sale, they must do so this summer, a justified stance.

There have been numerous suggestions as to possible destinations for Sanchez. The most probable is perhaps Juventus. The Italian giants have long been suitors of his services and were close to signing him when he initially moved to England from Barcelona. Moreover, Arsenal would prefer to send him abroad rather than to a domestic rival. But the rumours in the media have highlighted another name: Chelsea.
Antonio Conte is reportedly enamoured with Sanchez’s work rate, his willingness to undertake his defensive duties, as well as create opportunities and score goals in the final third. For Arsene Wenger, it would be a nightmarish scenario to see Sanchez, very much like Robin van Persie before him, move to a direct Premier League rival.
And that is why the recent rumours suggesting that Paris Saint-Germain are set to up their efforts to sign Sanchez will come as a welcome relief. The French champions certainly have the cash to splash, and with Zlatan Ibrahimovic leaving last summer and Edinson Cavani now the wrong side of 30, they do have a need for some attacking reinforcements.
Sanchez would be a terrific addition for any team across the continent. His pace, his directness, his accurate dribbling ability and acutely aware vision make him a relentlessly dangerous attacking threat. That is why Chelsea are indeed interested in signing the Chilean and it why Wenger must not let them have their way.

If he is to be sold in the summer, which is looking increasingly likely, then it is imperative that the club send him overseas. Selling him to a domestic rival is criminal. Thankfully, PSG could well be the saviours.
