3. Mohamed Elneny

With what I said about Francis Coquelin, you can just about insert that same analysis here. We signed Mohamed Elneny in the January transfer window of last season, and the rest is blank. Yes, we do not see Elneny play a good amount but consider this stat: through 25 BPL games for Arsenal, he boasts an incredible zero goals!

He’s basically the Egyptian version of Coquelin. Here is a link if you please. I’m feeling kind today: Elneny’s Amazing Stats.

I don’t recall him giving us any memorable performances either. When he starts (or comes off the bench), he’s just there. Nothing more, nothing less.

However, he did have that impressive goal in 2016 vs Barcelona, but that was it. As stated before, Arsenal desperately need CM’s who can both defend and pose an attacking threat at the same time.

Elneny is an average defender and doesn’t help pose an attacking threat like Granit Xhaka and Aaron Ramsey can. Elneny is certainly young, but sadly isn’t talented enough to wear an Arsenal jersey, thus making this list of players needing to go this summer.

No. 2 is next.
