Arsenal: 5 Players That Need To Be Sold This Summer

1. Olivier Giroud

Here, I end with a bang. If you ignore Sanchez as a striker, then it’s arguable that Olivier Giroud is our best striker. He’s been impressive in terms of scoring goals such as the lovely scorpion kick back in January vs. Crystal Palace that had everyone going crazy.

However, he’s 30 years old. It’s clear that he has talent, but his lack of pace and inconsistency makes it crystal clear that he needs to be sold. Arsenal need a striker with a similar skill set to Welbeck, but more stable and consistent (*cough Alexandre Lazacette cough*).

Wenger has put the rumors down, but at one point recently, Giroud was being rumored to go to French side Marseille in the summer for up to £20m.

If those rumors turn out to be true, then Arsenal must go through with this transfer. Sell him, and we can get the most value out of him before he gets very old and to the point where nobody is willing to buy him. It sucks to say that we have to sell Giroud, but it’s something we need to do to.
