Aaron Ramsey

Aaron Ramsey is a controversial figure, to say the least. His mesmerising 2013/14 had fans salivating, as did his performances during Wales’ magnificent Euro 2016 journey. Whilst he has not been able to replicate those veins of form, his play in recent weeks has been promising.

Like many, Ramsey has been a beneficiary of the switch to the 3-4-3, it has given him more attacking freedom and his form has picked up as a result. There is no one in the Arsenal squad who shares the same qualities as Ramsey, no one has the energy to fulfil the box-to-box role he plays.

Arsene Wenger stood by Aaron Ramsey through all of his injuries and poor displays, it would be wrong to take him out of the starting lineup just as he’s beginning to find his groove again.
