Arsenal’s top four hopes are hanging by a thread as they welcome already-relegated Sunderland to the Emirates. Here are all the ways to watch.

The Premier League season already has a winner, already has all three teams relegated and has just about ironed out the Champions League places. All that remains to be seen is whether or not Arsenal can slip into the most improbable of top four slots, with the help of a massive collapse from Liverpool or Manchester City, and then the season will be decided.

The next step in that quest towards resolution comes against Sunderland, the worst team in the Premier League with nothing to play for, save a bit of pride. The Black Cats had made a habit out of crawling out of the Premier League basement to narrowly avoid relegation, but this year it was never even close.

Arsenal should be able to have their way with their guests, and they will need to, as they’ll want to seriously chip away at some of that goal differential separating them from Manchester City. The Citizens have a five goal cushion over the Gunners and if Wenger’s soldiers aren’t content with hoping Middlesbrough take some sort of points from Liverpool at Anfield then they need a lot of goals in a little time.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

The Gunners have their share of health problems to boot. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is racing against the clock to make it back in time for the FA Cup final, while Alexis Sanchez, the kingpin of this attack, is struggling with a leg injury sustained against Stoke City.

However, even Arsene Wenger had to admit that convincing Alexis to sit one out is just about always a losing endeavor. He will almost certainly be out there as the Gunners fight to score as many goals as humanly possible.

It will all come down to Liverpool and Middlesbrough or City losing to either West Brom or Watford and the Gunners making up the points. Neither are particularly likely scenarios, but it’s high time that something good happened for the Gunners. This season just has not gone according to plan, so fighting back into the top four, with a little help, will be a fantastic confidence booster going into the FA Cup final against Chelsea.

All of that in mind, here are all the facts and the ways to watch:
